Nanosensors for detecting explosives

0

Who: Tel Aviv University School of Chemistry and Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.

What: Nanoelectrical devices arrays that enable the rapid and supersensitive discriminative detection of explosive species. The device picks up the scent of explosives molecules better than a detection dog’s nose. See “Supersensitive fingerprinting of explosives by chemically modified nanosensors arrays

Where: Detecting explosives.

When: The sensor is currently at the pro- totype stage. Commercialization is underway with Tracense (http://www.tracense.com).
