The Swedish nanotechnology company Smoltek has developed a technology that will change the future of semiconductors. Their research on controlled growth of carbon nanostructures under 390°C is a game changer for the advanced packaging industry. Smoltek has been selected to participate at the Innovation Village at SEMICON Europa 2016 in France on October 25th-27th where they will get their technology exposed to the industry and pitch to investors.

“This is a great exposure for Smoltek at Europe’s main event within the semiconductor industry. The new location of the Innovation Village, now in the middle of the main exhibition hall, adds to an already winning concept. We are looking forward to our participation.” says Anders Johansson, CEO of Smoltek.

Smoltek’s technology: a revolutionary nanotechnology platform

Smoltek is a privately held company based in Sweden that specializes in the development of nanostructure fabrication technology to solve advanced materials engineering problems. Smoltek has developed SMOLTEK Tiger™, a proprietary nanostructure technology platform that enables the formation of nanostructures optimized for advanced semiconductor packaging applications.

With its innovative research, the company managed to reduce the temperature of nanoparticles to under 390°C. Using nanostructures instead of today’s technologies multiplies the capacity of the processors. This is a strong technological shift that can change the entire game plan.
